A Stump No More

Some individuals might think it is odd to include this event as noteworthy for a blog entry, but these individuals must not be our friends or family. And all we have to say is that at least it is not a picture of a placenta.

Rub a Dub Dub

Don't let all of that hair fool you, this really was his first bath! Did he have a ton of dark hair or what? His first bath included a sponge bath as well as getting his hair washed and rinsed in the sink. He thoroughly enjoyed it, and actually he still enjoy baths. How can't you enjoy a chance to splash water all over mom and dad?

This picture has "first time parents" written all over it. As part of the formal discharge procedure from the hospital, new parents receive a quick fifteen primer on being parents. I guess we were too busy paying attention to the "Chicken Baby" video that we were not paying attention to the nurse when she was checking the fit of Brady in the car seat. How did they let us leave the hospital with the straps so far above his shoulders? No wonder he stuck his tongue out all the way home!

Gooooooooood morning, Peoria!

You wanna know why he's screaming? You try banging your head against a wall for a couple of hours, then having several lights shined in your face after nine months of darkness, while being naked in a hospital room full of strangers...not to mention having to adjust to breathing air, having no idea where your next meal is coming from, and finding out that Kerry Wood is on the DL again!

On to the birth details. Brady was born on July 13, 2006. He was born at 7:57 am on a Thursday morning, and it was a scorcher that day! He weighed 8 lbs. 11 1/2 oz., and he was 21 1/4 inches long.
